The reason was said that they had teams working on other games and giving full attention to them rather than SC Ghost. SC Ghost was never released nor cancelled. Sure Primal Kerrigan would probably mop the floor with her now, or would she seeing how Raynor still saved her? We can expect a cameo in LotV, or maybe she will even aid Zeratul in a mission or two.Īll we do know is Nova is one of the most powerful psionic humans to ever live, surpassing even Kerrigan in her capabilities (why the HotS opening sequence showing Nova represented a major concern, since not even Kerrigan could have won against her). At least after HotS she is no longer a semi villain as she should now be working for Valarian who as far as I know is not his evil father. I guess Nova will just be confined as an Easter egg to SC2. Heck the story line itself would probably make little sense as it may conflict with SC2. All the art and engine that was not ported to SC2 is as good as scrap as it is too old to use without major work. Things like final voice acting and localization were not applied (otherwise other sources would have leaked what happened). However the rest of it I do not think is salvageable. Some of the models were probably re-touched and re-mastered for SC2 (I am guessing Nova and maybe some of the Terran unit models in SC2 were based on Ghost. So what happened to SC2 Ghost? Well I guess anything they did have is pretty much scrap now.

SC Phoenix I think was the code name given to Blizzard's AoS scheduled to go live some time in the future. The leaked development schedule has lost all credibility seeing how we are in 2014 and it shows a lot of things like LotV being out when it is not. Basically a capture from a PC version of the game running on a development rig.
